Hello everyone and thank you for stopping by my blog! 🙂

My name is Lisa and I’m a 24-year-old Master student specialising in Clinical Neuropsychology. I was born in Greece and since 2012 I live in Groningen in the Netherlands with my two dogs (Ziggy, a 3-year-old Maltese and Rhea, a 2-year-old black Labrador Retriever). In my free time I like to get comfortable on the couch by the living room window overlooking the parking lot and to counteract this rather unromantic view I light a lot of aromatic candles to create a proper reading atmosphere. One can also find me outside – rarely – with my phone, my camera and a book, placing the latter in weird positions on trees, rocks and other natural objects to get a decent picture for this blog. Book reviewing and picture-taking get better as you go along and I find I am a slow learner.  It is what it is. And if you live in the northeastern part of the centre of Groningen you will be regularly meeting a small girl (people in the Netherlands are very tall) with her two dogs walking the neighbourhood laps.

One of the things I like most about book reading is discussing and reviewing the books. In my blog, I mostly focus on writing book reviews. Ideally, I aim to inform the reader without spoiling the story while also not harming the experience of reading a plot, something which I unfortunately find happens often in book synopses. My favourite genres include: Fantasy (epic/high fantasy mostly), Science Fiction, Adult Fiction, Historical Fiction and Horror. But of course I’m open to reading – I want to say – almost anything, so feel free to drop any suggestions!

I am also an active reviewer on Goodreads and my review ratings follow the guidelines that GR suggests.
